Bulk Ammo

Sounds like a backorder to me.

yes... but if you see.. it was/is the same ammo just in a different can and mine had to wait and theirs could go out. So it all came down to the can being the hold up :)

I have them on chat now, they offered to switch as even they agreed it made no sense and the can was the delay BUT in the process of changing my order over they sold out of the stuff listed here :(

now it is also out of stock and they say no BO as it is "out for the season" while mine shows 1-25-13 delivery

I knew it wouldn't last long, glad I got my order in. Now I just have to wait for the CCI to come in from back order.

Proper planning has 5+ cases 22 LR sitting on the shelf. Last gun show purchase was CCI Blazer case for $190 with tax. You just got to keep rimfire feed in stock at all times.

As for the difference in dry box vs metal ammo can, I think it comes packaged that way from the distributor and not manually assembled by Cabelas. Cabela's back order date estimation is quite reliable, much better than Sportsman's Guide inventory, I had ordered some Herter's .223 ammo, 500 rounds with a dry box 12-18-12 and it just shipped yesterday. Even the second order I placed before the free shipping ended for Cabela's Visa cc holders has shipped. The estimated back order date was 4-5 weeks and it was sent in a week. Was not expecting all the backorders to come in at once, not looking forward to the Cabela's cc bill this month.

Just ordered two boxes federal 325. With shipping comes out to a whopping 6cents a bullet.

yeah I usually keep 2 cases minimum but thinking about more to be safe. Just think of it this way.. how much enjoyment are you going to get out of your $190-200 per case? Hell that's a short night at the butt naked. :D

Until this ammo shortage goes away, I will be stingy with my friends and not give them a box every time we go shooting. No bullets no boom. Or, should I say, "bullets for boom boom?" <if she is cute...I am sure glad my wife does not frequent the forums!>

First post and new owner of the S&W 15-22 MOE.... Pictures coming soon! I was reading the forums as to looking for help on Ammo! It seems everyone in my neighborhood is sold out. I live in San Diego, California. I have never ordered Ammo from the internet but, it's the only way to get Ammo for my new S&W. When I click on the order it says "Residents of CA ... etc please with your local laws for restrictions

Got my shipping email this morning. My 43.2 pounds of goodness will be here Monday.

Has Any one ordered Ammo from Cabela's that lives in California..... I can't find any .22 LR Ammo in my local area.

Yes, I live in CA and I ordered the Federal bulk deal the other day and it's on it's way via UPS. Should be here Tuesday. :)

The lists I've seen on other websites for restricted areas to ship ammunition in CA IIRC only list Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco and Sacramento.
