Hey guys I am wondering When is the best time to buy in bulk? Do the majority of online sites have good deals out for the holidays like mothers day, or father's day, memorial day? It's my first time buying in bulk. I have the bulk ammo post that was asked a few weeks ago saved to reference the recommendations from.

Right now you can get 1000 rounds of blazer delivered for 216.00. They usually ship same day or next day

They also have great prices on LE 50 round boxes of premium hollow point ammo. You can buy 147 grain Remington Golden Saber for 26.95 plus shipping. They usually have 124 grain or 147 grain HST for a similar price as well(though not today)....

Bulk is a subjective word.To some 2 boxes of 50 could be bulk while others may think nothing less than a few thousand rounds is bulk.

How long will your money be tied up before you use your bulk purchase.

Shipping cost is for me the #1 deal breaker unless it's an item I can't locate locally in smaller amounts or at all.

There's weekly flyer ads from local businesses with deals on single boxes that are better than online bulk even when you add in the local taxes.

What's the final cost to your door and how much do you need to buy to get it.

After you buy from an online supplier is your in box getting spammed daily?

The phone app AmmoSeek seems to be a pretty good resource for buying bulk online. You can narrow the search down to be pretty specific and organize results by cheapest price. It searches tons of online stores so you don't have to.

I generally order bulk 9mm from Freedom Munitions on the occasion that they offer free shipping (which is a few times per year). Most other bulk ammo I buy is from SGAmmo and SGAs prices are usually pretty competitive and shipping is reasonable.

In the short term I don't see a huge variation in prices. I use slickguns, or gunbot.net to check prices etc. Shipping is the biggest deal killer for me too. Recently bought from target sports and all the prices included shipping- good deals there

In general most shooters look at bulk as a 1000 round case. Bulk is what the OP asked about.

In general a 216.00 case shipped from SG is going to be higher quality than what you can get at Walmart and lower in price when tax is added. Even if you are talking about Tula, SG smokes Walmart.

Show me a flyer from a local gun shop that sells quality 124 grain brass cased ammo for 21.6 cents a round after tax. If you shoot .223 the price differences are even bigger.

If having 200 bucks tied up in ammo is an issue, then Walmart is the way to go, I get that.

Then you need to add in what convenience means. 1000 rounds dropped at my front door has value. Making a special trip to buy ammo before every range trip takes time. I'm don't know about you, but my time is valuable.

Quality suppliers like SG don't spam. They do update you to great deals though.

Like it or not, unless you reload companies like SG Ammo and Freedom Munitions are where to go for the best prices on ammo.

Amen Bro.
SG Ammo has a very good selection as well! Free shipping from FM is also very valuable. I take advantage of it when offered. I buy all my ammo on line. Saves $ on tax and is very convenient. FM also sometimes offers 5-10 % off on their ammo as well!
Buy it and shoot it. Don't hoard it!

I ordered 1K rounds of American Eagle from ammoman.com with free shipping. Turned out to be about $10 less than lower priced places that add shipping.

About $1 more per box of 50 than Perfecta at Walmart, but when you factor in tax and time driving there and back versus having it delivered, it's worth it to me. Plus, Federal has the higher velocity I need for running my compensator, and softer primers than Perfecta for no light strikes when using a lighter striker spring.

TargetSportsUSA always has free shipping on cases of ammo. I get all my bulk ammo there. You can subscribe to their email list, but they don't spam you.

I've heard something about if one purchases 1000 rounds or more, there is red flag of sort? What is this about?

. You can buy as much as you want online. There are no red flags.

Order away...
