Bump fire AR 15

A guy had one at the range a couple of weeks ago.

It is erratic, uncontrollable, and goes against all principles of marksmanship.

But if your are into making noise or spray and pray, this is your new toy.

This "device" is ridiculous. If you want to experience automatic fire, serve your country and join the military. You'll realize full auto from an AR is a great way to waste ammunition and make noise.

Sorry to offend anyone. Not everyone likes the same things in life..

No one is offended. The Slidefire is just not for everyone. I am a lefty; it is not for me by their design!!!

Many gun ranges will not allow them, because rapid fire is not allowed. Most shooters see them as a curio; they detract from accuracy, and are not really in the following of controlled deliberate firepower- which is why most people gravitate toward the AR platform in the first place.

Which ever way you slice it, mag dumps will ALWAYS be fun, so knock yourself out if it is what you would like to do!:p

Welcome to the forum and no offense taken.

My critique was of the product, viewed from the ability to control rounds going into the birm, not over it. Safety should always come first.

I've got one mounted on my MP-15 Sport and I love it. I've also got one installed on one of my AKs. Some of the best money I've spent on upgrades for my rifles. They are a blast to use (pun intended!)

...Erratic, uncontrollable, & goes against all principles of marksmanship? Interesting observations from someone who probably has never fired one or even seen one fired in person! It's a piece of cake to fire controlled two/three/four round bursts and keep the rounds where they need to be. Or, you can cut loose and dump the whole mag. Brings a smile to my face every single time!

BTW, I served 25 years on active duty and I never got the opportunity to fire anything full auto. Maybe this is my way of compensating for missing out on that opportunity?

Bottom line, buy one if you want to because they are the most fun you can have with your clothes on! I had to file a small bit of plastic off the inside of the stock because of the bowed shape of the trigger guard. After that was taken care of, she ran fine.

Dangerous gun handling. If your going to do it make sure your the only one around and know where the rounds are going or where they could go!

Why do most assume that I would not handle safety well? I was just looking for first hand experience on the product. I am a safe shooter. But thanks all

if i want full auto ill just have my lgs make mine full auto and pay the 200.00 tax so i can have a full auto weapon .. i see 365.00 is to much for that , but to each there own......

Lol...good luck with that

Ive seen the youtube vids of these. Honestly, no matter who you are, shooting a F/A rifle will always be fun. Always. Especially if you arent paying for the ammo. Sure, get one if you like doing a few mag dumps into a target. But when you find yourself up against a horde of zombies, 3 round burst or even semi auto will offer the most accurate and effective use of a rifle.
