The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals acting on Thursday struck down the CA requirement for a background check to buy ammo. It originally cost $1 per transaction and just went up to $5 per transaction this month. The system would normally refuse to sell you ammo even if you were not a prohibited person unless you had PURCHASED a gun at your current address of record. Even the Ninth Circuit recognized issues with this so you know it was really, really bad. I am confident that the state will appeal. Hopefully unsuccessfully.

Maybe no. They have managed to figure out that "arms" includes "ammunition" so it is possible they are getting their brains in gear. It is also possible the sun will rise in the west tomorrow morning. I am not better on either actually happening.

I hope you're right, but my experience is that generally there is no rule of law for gun owners on CA.
