cabbage soup is one of my favorites to make. it seems just to fill a nitch for something not usually made. soups i can consume every day during the winter. had made turkey meatloaf the day before, chop it up and add to the soup. buttered saltines or sourdough parm. toast a close second on the side. please include your liked soup if wanted. espically the throw in's. everyone have a good week.

My go to for cold weather is matzo ball soup: my grandfather’s recipe.

The chicken broth takes a day and a half to make, the matzo balls take an hour. Requires advance planning.
sounds great. i'm sure you have a smile on your face enjoying the results. do you ever put parm. cheese on top when ready to serve? sometimes a good addon.

I've never had cabbage soup till 6 months ago.
A restaurant I go to for breakfast make's a cabbage rice soup that I love.
I've made it a few time's so far.

In the last week I've made Zucchini soup and a Chicken stew next will be a beef stew with the left over's from today's pot roast.

This time of the year I love a good hearty soup or stew.

Many of our ancestors lived on cabbage for generations. I like cabbage soup, but cannot cook it because the smell is disfavored by Her Everlasting Glory. Cabbage salad/slaw (without all the sugar) is good as well.

We like the cole slaw from Lee's and often stop and grab a few tubs when we are having fried fish or pulled pork for dinner.

I love cabbage soup, made with some ground beef, onions, carrots and tomato sauce. We had a head of red cabbage in the refrigerator one time so I made cabbage soup. It tasted really good but the red color of the cabbage changed to a wonky grayish color.

One of the time's I made cabbage soup instead of beef I used a kielbasa .

It came out good but I do prefer beef ether ground or left over pot roast.

The recipe I use sound's a lot like the one Oracle posted but I also add a can of stewed tomatoes and a cup of rice at the end.

My favorite way to have cabbage is corned beef and cabbage. Made a crock pot full last week. I was on my own with it as wife and girls fail to enjoy such a display of culinary expertise

I’m making corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight. I love the cabbage with malt vinegar.

My son and granddaughter don’t like the cabbage, but are big fans of the corned beef and love the hash we make for breakfast the next morning.

Well I have read all the responses but have not seen the ultimate cabbage dish-smothered cabbage with ham chunks and sausage slices. This with cornbread

Good idea...... got some (3) links of sweet Italian sausage in the fridge.... can add to my post above!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
