Caliber conversions

I need a contact number for a gunsmith/machinist who can do a caliber conversion. I'm thinking about a .357 re barrel, re cylinder to .41 special. What guns would be the preferred host for this conversion in medium frame?
Ruger Security 6, S&W 19 ?..or ??

TH, Alpha Precision, and Bowen do these conversions on S&W L frames and Ruger GP-100s. Clements did mine,but no longer works on L frames. K frames would require a 5 shot cylinder, I think. Mine cost approximately $400.00. Jim Stroh at alpha Precision has a web site and a message board for Questions.

I'm not sure if he's doing double action conversions or not, but try Ben Forkin out in Montana. The work he does is spectacular, and he got his start at Bowens place.

Wiser, better informed minds than mine, say no mag in L-frame but special Ok to about 1200 FPS in long barrels, 6 or 7.5. Taffin has a list on Sixguns. I am sure there are others.
