i wouldnt mind waiting 10 days even if that law only prevented 1 ***hole from killing someone in a pissed off rage.

for people who already own a firearm, the wait does not make sense.

in the end it means less crime, less bad media, less gun restrictions

The big word is IF. Nobody knows if this has ever happened and never will know. I would think that a guy who gets to the point he wants to kill a person will kill them one way or the other. Knives, baseball bat, ax what ever. Might even just wait 10 days, but some one with a sudden urge to kill just doesn't go down to the gun shop and buy a gun and then commit the murder.
