Yeah, we had a doozy last night. Wind like to have taken the roof off. A lot of rain also. Don't know the amount yet but it came down in sheets. Further North all the passes over the Sierras are closed but will reopen soon. I live at about 3,000 Ft elevation so we get snow but not as much as the passes. I keep my wood stove going and get on the Forum often. Keep dry my friends.

I drove from SF to Reno and was passing through Donner at about 6pm Friday night. Drove back today about noon.

I'm supposing given your location that driving in rain and snow is nothing to worry about. I'm from NH. Have been driving through the stuff for +50 years.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at how lousy most CA drivers are in anything other than sunny weather. But damn it is aggravating. Took me almost 6 hrs to go from SF to Reno, and most of it was before I hit Colfax. Accidents, stop and go, 40 mph on wet Rte 80. :(

On the way back some schmoh jackknifed his car & RV in only about 2" of snow & blocked everyone going westbound.

Still glad I went to the show. Picked up an SKS Type 56 and a neat little Savage 1917.

Mom and Dad left Sunny Southern California in 1955 so I could be born in Ohio. Still Glad they did that for me. Mom had to give up drag/street racing her 1953 Newport against Caddies for a station wagon to hold all of us, but it sure saved on all those clutches. I don't think she ever burnt out anything in a transmission in Ohio, she could never find any action!!
