Called Speer About Short Bbl. Ammo

I seen in another forum where a guy used a chronograph to test both the 38+p and 357 Magnum versions of the short barrel Gold Dots. He shot both rounds out of a 3" 686 and also shot the 38s from a 4".

Three inch 38+p was 955 fps. Four inch was 1011 fps. Three inch 357 magnum was 1176 fps.

Going by that looks like what the tech said would be accurate. I know I have personally shot them from my 2 1/8" 649-5 and they are a reduced recoil load compared to other 357s I've shot in it but at the same time hotter than any 38+p I've shot out of it.
