Is your front sight blade pinned into the base, or is it integral with the base/barrel? Mine was integral, but I wondered if they all were. Thanks.

Adios,

Mine is a no-dash.
The front sight blade on the original barrel was pinned.
The one on the replacement barrel is, too.

S&W was nice enough to ship mine with a pinned barrel, so I could change the ramp front sight out for something a bit more.... um, handsome (?) :)

Tell me more about this revolver please.

Looks like a 3" gun, but please provide some details.

Also are those factory stocks, or aftermarket stocks?

Well Tom,
It's a M586-4, blued L frame, scarce 3" barrel with pinned front sight :)
In my opinion, the most desirable engineering change (-4)
Most of the 2 1/2" and 3" M586 guns were ordered by RSR if my memory is correct, I've never lettered it, but I did buy it new originally and the box confirms the features.

The grips are from Craig Spegel, and made of Bolivian rosewood with owner (me)supplied medallions, and speedloader cut-out design he makes for me. I've owned a few pair of his boot grips and can attest to their form/function and beauty.

Not much more to say, except it's just about anything one would want from a modern six shooter.

Enjoy

Both of these 586-7 (7 shot) look pinned to me but a 586-3 (6") and a 586-3 (8 3/8") have integral sights.
