I have a problem that just cropped up. All of a sudden I can no longer load photos from my FUJI camera to my computer running under Windows 7. Every thing was fine until a couple of days ago. The screen that used to pop up with loading options no longer does. I tested the camera on another computer and it loaded fine. I have exhausted the online support sources to no avail.
My question is does anyone else have this problem or if you did how did you fix it?

Make sure that when you are finished downloading the pictures from your camera, you never pull the connector out before you right-click on the USB device icon in the toolbar on the lower right side of your desktop, and select "Eject USB Mass Storage Device" and get the "Safe to Remove Hardware" response.

I found a how-to that might point you in the right direction.

Find Your Missing USB Drive in Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista

The OP doesn't say if his computer doesn't recognize the USB drive or if it's just a matter of getting his normal program to open.

If my computer doesn't automatically open the program I want then I just go to "my computer"...Find the USB drive and right click to open what's on the camera. It's then just a matter of copying and pasting to where you want the files.

Does the camera have a removable memory card?

If so, I recommend a USB card reader. They make it much easier to do data transfers. I've never had an issue with media recognition when using one.

Cmort's suggestion is a good one. But before you do anything, make sure you don't just have a bad USB port. If you do, a card reader won't make a difference. Put another USB device in and try to open that. Since the camera works on another computer, it ain't the cable. If the other device doesn't work either, you know.

My Samsung laptop has a slot for a micro SD card and my cameras use micro SDs.
If my computer doesn't recognize a camera plugged into the usb port. I can just use the micro SD slot and open it that way.

Maybe just try rebooting the computer?

Until you get if figured out, you might right-click on the start button and go to File Explorer.

In the left pane of File Explorer, you may see your camera listed as a drive. Double-click on it. You might be able to just copy and paste the pix to whatever folder you like.
