Canceled the P365 order. I'll stick with the Shield

I hope all works out for you!! In this vid the part about the P 365 with safety starts at about the 2:30 mark!

My son, grandson and myself all have P365s. Nice triggers, great capacity, wonderful sights and very easy to conceal. They switched from Ruger LC9S's and I from a Smith 642 / Glock 19 (depending on wardrobe). Total of over 3800 rounds so far. Anxiously waiting for all these internet catastrophic failures to occur. In the meantime, we feel quite well armed.
For full disclosure: a friend's P-365 never functioned properly right out of the box. He sent it back to Sig and issue was fixed quickly and at no cost. After 700-800 break in rounds he now carries it daily and has sold his Shield and G43 (at a loss). So now you heard it on the internet: SIGS FAIL!!!

I remember quite a bit of dust up with the shield when first introduced. I was an early adopter of the shield, still have it, never had any of the early mentioned issues.

Handled a P365 at a gun show yesterday and really liked the grip feel/texture. Felt much smaller than my Shield grip, more like like my Glock 42 380.

To me the P365 trigger seems to have movement all the way till the moment the sear releases , was not a crisp pull like a I have with my Shield or Glock. Although the P365 pull seemed noticeably lighter.

I was still intrigued by the P365 and will probably pick one up later down the road. The price of the one I saw at the show yesterday was $499.

I almost went the p365 route due to round envy in my Shield 9.
I fixed that by installing Magguts in my 7 rd mag. I now have a 9+1 Shield that is only a 1/4" taller than before!

10 rounds in a RELIABLE easy to carry (and shoot) gun!

Sounds good, but why did u not use the Magguts on the 8 rd. mag to give u 10, which is what i did and its about only 1/4" longer than the standard 8 rd. mag?

There is always the Taurus G2C for less than half the price.

Friends don't let friends buy Taurus.

I just recently bought a new 1st gen 9mm Shield, no safety, for $249.99 delivered.
Taurus sells the G2C for under a buck and a quarter?

Carried a G23 for a long time and was a no brainer when the Shield in 40 came out. The Shield now (and for a long time) has been my carry which I have full confidence in. The Sig has a lot going for it but like noted by others, I'll wait for some of the bugs I've heard about for Sig to fix before looking at it seriously. Who knows, they may even come down in price in a year or so. :D:D

Thought it was a little too long that way for CCW.
As is, I have a 9 rd mag shorter than the OEM 8 rd-er....
Just my personal preference.
