Canceled the P365 order. I'll stick with the Shield

Thank's for link, I must have missed that 1 the thread I saw had only 2 comments about it!

Did find 7 pages on Firearms talk and it's very concerning!

All I can say is that my Feb 2019 born P365 that I recently purchased was fired just over 500 rounds on my first outing without a problem. My intention on that range trip was to find out if it would puke. I fired three different brands of FMJ target ammo and just over a hundred rounds of two different brands of premium ammo. I had six mags and I would fire those as quickly as I could, reload them with an Uplula mag loader, and commence firing again. Probably fired most all of the rounds at the rate of about 1 round per second. The pistol got HOT! Not a single bobble!

I brought it home new, cleaned and lubed it, and went to the range. I did not add any lube or do any cleaning whatsoever during the test. I brought it home from the range, cleaned and lubed it again as well as inspected it very closely. I am carrying it now. I see no reason not to do so. I like it, and I am pleased with it's performance during the test. I used a large target with six bullseye targets with rings about as large as a small paper plate for all rounds fired. Each target had a softball sized ragged hole with a few flyers very closely spaced around the hole. I was also pleased with the accuracy level that I could achieve with the pistol given that I was firing for function and break in reasons only. Next trip I'll be bearing down to see if I can reduce the size of my groupings, but I won't be disappointed with that softball sized group. I'm getting old and my sight ain't very good plus I'm not nearly as strong as I used to be either. This P365 will get the job done for me and it carries very well! I'll report if anything turns up with later range visits, but I'll be surprised if anything turns up!

My report here is a sample of one. Take it for what it's worth to you!

Your experience is typical. I would ignore the nervous Nelly comments and those who seem to have an anti agenda.

My 365 is still performing well at the range and has been issue free. I have fired a few hundred rounds without issue and feel confident the gun will perform for my intended purpose. I will say not a big fan of the sights in an indoor range and barely better at my outdoor range. Sig is sending me a new front sight so will see if this helps. This has become my primary EDC due to performance, comfort in carry, and concealment.

the P365 i've been patiently waiting for has finally been released, the P365 MS [manual safety]. found one on Gun Broker and bought it. will be first striker fired pistol i've bought in probably 5 years. am not interested in waiting to see if there are bugs.....if i don't like it will sell it and lick my wounds and go on with life. turning 80 yrs of age and watching that high divide getting ever closer has given me a sense of urgency.

After reading all the **** about the P365 having issues too many to list here, I canceled my pre-order and will stick with the Shield (first generation). Why? Because if I'm betting my life on something, I want there to be absolutely ZERO DOUBT about its function and dependability.
I carried a Beretta 96D and then two different Sig P226 weapons before I retired. The Beretta was a piece of total junk and the 226's were tack drivers. I'm sure the P365 will be much better in the future but for now, I'll stick with what I know: Thousands of rounds fired through the Shield with ZERO weapon malfunctions.
:)

Not surprised at all you found the Beretta a junk pistol.

They are the worst thing hoisted on the military and police yet. A SIG P226 should have been the adopted handgun for the .mil. I’d sooner trust my life to a Shield than any Beretta junk.
