Can't say I've ever heard this rock classic performed this way.

You are correct sir, but I had never herd this version either!!

Actually my niece sent me that one this morning. Apart from the fact that they felt the need to perpetuate the tired hillbilly stereotypes, I loved it. Those guys can play.

So can the kids playing cello. Lots of talent there, and the audience reaction shots are fun.

I think the piper was in Tina's backup band in "Beyond Thunderdome".
Or maybe he was a mechanic in "The Road Warrior".
I forget.

Them country boys was good. Sum ov em look like they cud be cuzins. Or bruthers. Maybe they's both. ;) The one sangin plays a meen anvil.

Them other boys got tha bigess fiddles I ever saw.

"Walk Like An Egyptian" was foisted by a girl group called the Bangles. I'm not sure they ever did anything else that's remembered today.

But even by the standards of this thread, the Cleverlys version is one of the silliest things I've heard in a long time. I'll have to pass it along to my silly relatives. :D
