I love that show and read their column in our paper. I would never have guessed he was 77. I'll miss him.

Sorry to hear that. I very much enjoyed their show on NPR, even the reruns over the last year after they retired.

N P R had a comprehensive history on the brothers just today. They noted the brothers had always been extremely close with each other.

Tom died from "complications" of Alzheimers, what ever that means.

I think the last year or so of their show has been reruns.

I loved their show growing up and into my adult years. A great loss to the car and radio world indeed. I read a few of their books as well, both funny and informative-like the show was. I always liked different the were, yet the got along so well, the saying "don't drive like my brother" was funny as Tom advocated 55mph driving and Ray preferred more reasonable speeds. I hope my local station continues to play to reruns.

I still enjoy the reruns and they cut a few CDs with some of their best calls that are also entertaining. Best show on NPR by far. RIP Tom.

I remember the show where Martha Stewart called in and was quizzed by them on her early years and the cars that she drove back in the day. I never appreciated Martha before that interview, she held her own against both brothers and was a hoot with them.
