Carry Case for the 15-22

5.11 tactical, 36" double rifle case is on the way. :D

this is the one i use...sewed in couple if extra pieces of webbing leftover from my sling build on the inside to keep the rifle from slipping around...excellent case and a great value!! outside is Cordura nylon so it holds up well...enough room for a 2nd rifle if one is acquired

ok, thanks

Ya I got this one also, but I bought mine through
Optics Planet.com. It fits the 15/22 perfectly and has plenty of storage for the 25 rd. mags. The zippered accessory pocket is ok, but it could be a little bigger, for the price though I can't complain.

been thinking about adding some strap webbing to the outside of mine to accept small MOLLE pouches for extra storage

Yeah yeah, stop rubbing it in, I can only have 10 rd. mags. Haha, just kidding. I like the way the bag is setup and the pouches, but just realized that it doesn't have straps on the inside, does it? Any problems with the gun sliding around?

not too big of an issue...the rifle fits very very well

can always drop the extra coin...or do what i did--and sew a couple velcro straps in where ya want the rifle placed so it doesnt move around....i had the extra stuff laying around so it wasnt a big deal for me

honestly its overkill though

My favorite is the discrete case from Castle Rock Tactical. It holds 6 mags in the interior, two good sized pockets and backpack straps. You can also get it in non traditional gun colors.

+1 on this, thanks for this link! I've been looking for one for my AR; this is the best discreet case I've come across so far, much better config than the LaRue one.

I have been wondering the same. I currently keep mine in a Blackhawk Sporster bag.

Any suggestions on storing?

The goal is to keep moisture out of the bag. Other than where you store the bag/rifle, I would put some kind of dessicant in the bag in with the rifle. You can always keep those little "Do Not Eat" dessicants that comes with various products and use a bunch of those, or search/buy something larger.

this how i store all my equipment...i wont leave anything in the case but i am also borederline OCD before a trip to the range--everything has to be packed and accounted for so i know i am ready for any situation :D

and yes its what used to be a coat closet--added a reinforced door and top/bottom steel hasps with padlocks...safety and paranoia sometimes work hand in hand LOL
