I've got a small collection of Case Pocket Knives going. I'm not a serious knife collector, so if you have some impressive collections out there, I would like to see them.Case Knives.jpg

2. Medium Stockman, Autumn Bone
3. Medium Stockman, Amber Bone

I really don't have a collection, but I have afew Case Muskrats. I lost minein 1973and replaced it for $35.00. I have carried it since I thought maybe I should buy a replacement, so I found a new 1973 identical to mine at Tulsa for $150.00. I put it away in my safe. A very good friend knowing I liked the Muskrat bought me six different versions of the Case Muskrats, so I guess I have a collection, but no pictures.

While I don't consider myself a serious knife collector I seemed to have accumulated somewhere around 55 - 60 pocket and sheath knives (never really counted them). I have many different types and brands and did have 2 brand new case knives that I bought as Christmas gifts for two friends about 8 years ago. When they arrived I was disappointed in the quality and workmanship. Neither was properly sharpened and there were noticeable gaps, scratches on the blades and variations within the two knives which were the same exact model. I sent them both back for replacements and they did send me two new knives which were a little better. I suppose considering the reasonable price, they were acceptable so I sharpened them and gave them as gifts.

Case knives is more than likely struggling as one of the last traditional, reasonably affordable American pocket knife manufacturers. I would like to see them do more than just survive, keep their American Made status and flourish by improving their quality and workmanship. A tall order these days when trying to compete against Chinesium products!

I have a few, most were given to me by my dad.

I've never owned a Case and think I should, but I need another pocketknife like I I need another hole in my head. Still......

A few years ago I went up to northern PA for a cousin's wedding. The Case Knives/Zippo Lighter Museum was over in the next county in Bradford, PA so I couldn't pass up the chance to see that. To commemorate the trip I bought a Zippo lighter with the Case knives logo on it. The American flag made of Zippo lighters is almost worth going to see by itself.Interesting Pictures 054.JPGInteresting Pictures 055.JPG

I too fell for collecting Case knives. My favorite is the Mid Folding Hunter. I have around 100 of all that were made before that pattern went into the vault for three years. I bought most all of them for under $100.00 dollars but now they cost 150 to 300 dollars on eBay. I also have other Case pattern pocket, sheath knives. I prefer lock and linerlock blade knives. I also collect many other American, German, Spanish and yes some Chinese made knives. I fell into the rabbit hole many years ago. I guess it's OCD. Thanks S&W forum.

Hello just chirping in about case knives. i too have a pretty nice collection of about 75 or so XX from the 80's 90s etc. All are stunning in boxes and a lot are commeratives. Case must have commeratived almost everything, animals, sharks, people , historical places etc. and put them in wooden cases, colorful tins and also paper boxes. All seem to have very nice colorful handles of bone, plastic some wood and all colors and sizes. I really would like to transfer them to someone younger who would appreciate and collect them if there is any interest. Wish I could photo but just now able to photo and attach to texts to spouse and then forward on. Seems jitterbug and comcast doesn't gee haw on wi fi, least thats what jitterbug tells me, can't hook them together really frusturating. Enjoy reading about these collections and wanted to share a comment. Annie Rea 1920.

I am more an accumulator than a serious collector. I have pocket knives of many brands
