Caution-online gun scam!

I’ve been watching for a specific revolver and following several different sites. The price on one was drastically reduced on a major site yesterday and I hit buy now. In the listing payment was by USPS MO or MO. I got a congratulations email from the seller with this message “can you pay by paypal F$F or zelle?”.
I said No but I’ll send you a USPS money order first thing Monday. His reply was “alright thanks”. This morning I have a message from the auction site that the seller’s account possibly has been hacked and to send no money and the transaction has been canceled. Disappointed, but didn’t lose any money!

The scam or scammers in this case involves a firearm dealership called “Trailblazers Firearms”! Trailblazers has an open source website which isn’t on either Facebook, Meta or Instagram, but can be easily found by a simple Google Search using their company’s name and the word Scam! The Trailblazers website acknowledges that it is a scam using their information and photographs to promote the scam sales, but doesn’t name names as to who is actually performing the scam…

Didn’t know if I would be breaking any rules but I can’t find one I'm breaking. I’ve purchased several guns at this site with no problems and they protected me on this purchase. ANY SITE IS VULNERABLE to hackers. It was on Gunbroker but the seller who was hacked. If I had not followed the rules and had paid with a cash app, I would have lost my money. As far as it’s obvious when they ask for a cash app, some people are still doing it or the scammers would not still be asking for it. Scams and being hacked is like a Navy guy told me about sea sickness, it’s those who have and those who are going to be. I haven’t heard of the site listed in the previous post but thanks, I won’t be going there.
