In recent times, the Jewish Ghetto in Lodz Poland, during the WWII period. The various SE Asia conflicts after WWII. The totalitarian regimes of the Soviet Union/Russia taking over the eastern blok countries, the Mao era of China, Pol Pot in Cambodia, North Korea, Iraq under Hussein, etc. Banning of firearms created genocide, which 'fixed' all opposition. Lots more examples available including lots involving the British, French, Spanish empires of both fairly recent and earlier. The right to self govern was taken away by banning resulting in genocide, e.g. fixing but not in a positive way. ��
