Just curious as to opinions. I carry a 625-7 in 45 colt, however the wood factory finger grips are so hard and slick that they do not provide much purchase.

Open to suggestions, I like the Ahrends but would like to have some checkering to be able to grip the firearm better.

I have Miculek grips on all my N Frame carry guns. I have very small, dainty hands and skinny fingers and they seem to fit me well. Wood does not stick to my clothing, and the rounded Miculeks conceal very well. Hogue rubber grips tend to be very sticky and they rip open the base of my thumb during recoil with heavy loads. Pachmayr grips are not as sticky but the shapes just don't fit me very well.

We all have different hands and your requirements may be exactly opposite mine. I still feel that wood works best for concealed carry.

Go to Novaks website and look at the Spegel Boot Grips. A little pricey, but probably the best concealable grip out there.

Tried and true Pachmayr Gripper or Pachmayr Compacts (closed and open back strap respectively) depending on the size of your palm and length of the trigger finger.

I once carefully sandblasted a set of ebony grips for a K-frame Square Butt. Probably the best gripping stocks I hever had. Sadly, they went with a gun I probably should have kept, too.

I like Spegel's Boot-Plus grips on an N-frame. A little extra length for that last finger. Checkering to your specifications.

I have two sets of Herrett Detectives and a set of Ropers. The Ropers are too bulky, but the detectives are the cat's meow. I've actually got an order in for another set of those. They are pricey and there is a wait, but they have been worth it, for me.
