Not being familiar with NH laws and regulations I can't comment on the ADN. As far as a CCW safe is concerned - again, you have to understand YOUR State's laws regarding them. If there is no specific requirement that a CCW gun be locked up when not being used, then you need to examine your specific household requirements - kids, lots of visitors, neighborhood, etc.

While a safe might keep unauthorized people away from your weapon, it might also keep you away when needed. Personally I never liked those cheap sheet metal type safes, and always opted for alternative ways to secure my CCW when not being used.

Thanks... But I was talking about the attorney website in case you were in a self defense shooting CCW Safe. :)

I sighed with CCW Safe. I like the idea that they will provide a competent attorney and or investigator at no charge to you. Immediately after you call, they will send a lawyer to your location(police station). Assuming that I am in the right, I should not have any liability costs to pay.
If you are considering CCW Safe, I would suggest you call them and ask any questions you may have. In a personal conversation you will get a much more clear explanation of their service.
Seems right for me.

I have been with CCW Safe for almost a year. My wife and I both carry so their rate for both of us was very reasonable. They send out occasional E-mails with great information. They do have limitations to be aware of, such as they only cover you in States where your CCW permit is recognized. They have some great videos on their web site....worth checking them out.

Give United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) a look. I've been covered by them for a couple of years now now. Got a local attourney referral and actually met with him and interviewed him before adding him to my speed dial.
Their magazine, which is included with joining, is the best of the three I read regularly.

Well...all the different answers will probably make your decision harder, not easier, but...

I'm a member of what you are referring to as Citizens' Legal Defense Network, actually the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network.

I like them because they DON'T assign, or send, an attorney when you need one. They suggest that, ahead of time, you find an attorney close to you that YOU have interviewed (that's what it is...a job interview...the attorney is applying for the position of defending you) and that you are comfortable with. They give you info on HOW to find an attorney that is competent in dealing with a self-defense shooting AND that you are comfortable with and could work with in your defense.

As a last resort, IF you have not bothered to do as they suggest, they will get you an attorney.

I like the list of expert witnesses they have that can be called on to assist in your defense, if necessary... Mas Ayoob, for example. Some like him, some can't stand him...but when it comes down to keeping you out of jail its credibility and believability that count, not whether you like him or not, and he is considered to be THE preeminent expert in the field of self defense shootings, whether you agree with him or not. They have quite the lineup of experts beside him in ALL areas of a shooting...victim psychology, pathological forensics, ballistics, stress physiology...you name the needed discipline, they have a good expert in the field available to you.

No...they don't have X dollars coverage that you buy, but they are financially viable to cover your legal costs unless they wind up involved in SEVERAL full-blown trials all at once, an unlikely scenario.

I believe in the ACLDN enough that they are the program that my wife and I choose to keep us out of jail if either of us is ever unfortunate enough to be involved in a legal shooting.

Same here, been a member for the last 3 years. If I am not mistaken all of the affiliated attys are also members of the network themselves.

After spending considerable time looking into the various options, I went with CCW last year. As a retired military, my rate is only $75 per year which is little enough for my peace of mind. Calling them and asking for details is worth your time. I contacted several alternative firms and when I asked who they would send or assign to assist me after a legal defensive shooting I was given the name of attorneys who upon later examination seemed to be totally unqualified for this type of issue. One company's referral was someone who I later found to be a worker's compensation attorney, one other referral was for a lawyer specializing in real estate. I'd much rather have to rely upon a non local attorney who is qualified from CCW than some unqualified local individual.

Also, some of the companies discussed on various gun forums are insurance companies providing liability insurance, not legal representation. I am willing to take my chances on liability, and see my need as having a qualified attorney to assist me. I know enough to know that I should not pit myself against experienced law enforcement professionals who are intent on seeing me charged and convicted for a self defense shooting.

Should I ever be so involved in such an incident, my plan is to call CCW first, and then rely on Mossad Ayoub's advice about what to say to the police when they arrive initially ("I am the victim, there is the perpetrator"; "I will sign a complaint"; "There is the evidence that needs to be secured"; "There are the witnesses"; "I will fully cooperate within 24 hours after conferring with my attorney".)

I rather like having both...good legal advise for a qualified attorney and financial backing, hence my decision to go with the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network...and as a bonus I have access to...at ACLDF expense...a group of experts as witnesses in virtually every field a shooting defense could need.

I joined United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) a few months ago. Their magazine is usually very good and they have some good training video's .
