For the longest time I've been using Russell Athletics pocket Tees because they were full-cut in the body and had long tails. This made concealing a weapon easy. I always bought size "L/G" (Large/Grande).

The other day I bought two more. I laundered them before trying them on (a good idea) and they were way too small.

I wrote to Russell Athletics questioning them about this. I figured that the shirts were mislabled, and they fit as skimpy as Fruit of the Loom shirts which were the all time skimpy fit tees.

They wrote back "due to consumer feedback and influences beyond our control we were forced to change the fit of our tee shirts."

I thought this was a strange answer until I Googled "Russell Athletics" and found out that they were bought out by Fruit of the Loom.

They suggested that I buy one that was one size larger.

At this time I am no longer recommending Russell Athletics for concealed carry cover garments.

I am also worried about other corners the parent company may force Russell Athletics to take.

Buyer beware.

Great point.

I've noticed many of the shirts I've tried on lately are more athletic cut.

Gone are the days when I can simply trust that any 2xl will fit.

At least Under Armour and Nike label them correctly (ie. loose fit, fitted, etc).

For what it's worth, the absolute most comfortable line of tee shirts I've tried are the Charged Cotton series by Under Armour. Excellent product.

I just looked at the Under Armor tees. $24.95 + shipping vs. $5.95. Wow.

I believe the reason for the non fitting clothes manufactured today is---Most if not all of them are imported from a third world country. The American companies that used to make quality clothes moved and now the American consumer still thinks that they make clothes like they did before the move. The American companies want us to buy, wash, shrink, and then "Buy Again". That is a very profitable way to do business.

My Under Armour gear lasts way longer than any of the competitor's gear I've tried....Russell, Starter, BCG & others.

It is far more comfortable and maintains its dimensions, neither stretching nor shrinking.

This makes it a better value for me.

I dunno. I can cover a VW with mine. I get 3X LT (large tall). Some of mine go almost to my knees, if I find the right ones. I only shop in large tall stores. You dont find them at walmart etc.

Is your "Ocam's Razor" any relation to "Occam's Razor"?

When I started this thread I thought some people would read it; I would never have guessed there was this much interest in a lowly Tee-shirt.

Yes, yes it is. Thanks for pointing out the error. I am surprised our "resident proof reader" had not called me on that.;)

Also related to William of Ockham.

The error of my ways has been corrected.

Are you 'Fruit of the Loom'?

(sorry- don't set me up like that)
:p
Can you tell us the plural of "knife"?

No there was too much chafing. I have moved up in the World to much higher quality and expense.

Chaps, waistband is covered with material.

As to knife, that topic has a previous thread please use the search function.:D;)
