I think medical offices got rid of the magazines during the pandemic.
Those people that sit there and text with the " clicker " function turned on . What is the point of that function other than to annoy others ?
Chick at the grocery store, purple and pink hair styled with a weedeater, one side of the head shaved and tattooed up, full sleeve tats, contents of a decent fishing tackle box displayed on her face, wandering around the aisles apparently talking to herself.
I first thought she was on a day pass from the state mental hospital, hoping she didn't have a concealed hatchet or something in her shoulder bag. Then I figured out she was using a Blue Tooth device.

I hate places that try to dictate rules to me. I'm not in the service nor the first grade anymore. Tell me I have to turn off my cell phone, and I'll turn it on just to irritate you.

Rather than bludgeon the self-important person for that irritant, my secret dream is to walk up, snatch the phone mid call, smash it with a framing hammer, and hand it back with a flippant "Don't worry, you can get another one."
I've seen young women holding their phones in front of them walk into parking meters and phone poles. They're very distraught when they pick up the remains of their devices.
In years gone by phone booths at least had a door.
Phone Booths? They are a thing of the past. How many phone booths does one see around? Public phones have all but disappeared.
