Cheyenne, Clint Walker has Passed 90

In the past few years, he was a regular call-in guest on the Mark Levin show, where his solid values shone through his words. All in all, he was a solid guy, the kind you'd want for a neighbor or to go on a fishing trip with.
We area bit lesser for his passing, something we can't often say about Hollywood types.

Ahh, Mad Magazine. I think I still have that issue. I need to look!
Have Gun Will Travel, The Lone Ranger, Sugarfoot, Maverick, Gunsmoke(Do you remember Chester?), Rawhide, Roy Rogers, Annie Oakley, Wagon Train, Wyatt Earp, Jim Bowie, Rin Tin Tin, Bat Masterson, Broken Arrow, Hop Along Cassidy. The Rebel, Sky King, Zorro, Wild Bill Hickok, Circus Boy, oh, and Howdy Doodie(Buffalo Bob):D.....Yes I never missed them as a youngster. Westerns were all over T.V. Didn't need blood and guts, or, gratuitous sex, or foul language to be good shows.
Sorry, back to Mr. Walker. RIP

He will always be Sampson Posey, the big slow-to-anger country boy in the Dirty Dozen to me.

Yeah, that was the first thing to come to mind when I read the news.

Mark gave him quite a tribute at the beginning of his show last night.

Clint's girlfriend was Donna Douglas from Beverly Hillwilliams. He was skiing one time and put a ski pole through his chest that nearly kilt him. He was in a movie called "None but the Brave" with Frank Sinatra that I actually watched at the drive in with my little sweety pie.

He said in an interview once the ER doctor had pronounced him.

Another doctor just happened to pass his gurney in the hallway. With no idea who was on it, the doctor said something just told him to try & revive this guy, even as others told him he was wasting his time.

After a few seconds Clint murmured “Do you really have to do that?”, causing some jaws to drop.

Sad news. He was also a had a great singing voice.

I’m going to have to watch “Night of The Grizzly” in his honor.

Good Bye Clint Walker

Clint has passed away at 90. He was iconic as a western character in Cheyenne. The movie that I enjoyed the most was Clint Walker and Frank Sinatra in "None But the Brave".
An outstanding movie.
God bless you Clint and Rest in Peace.
Jim
