Chiapa Rhino

I got to shoot a blued two-inch Rhino Saturday afternoon.
The loads were light .357 Magnum reloads. We were shooting steel plates and the Rhino took them down fine after I found out where to hold.
In SA the hammer goes back down to the same position as DA which was new to me. I'd heard bad things about the trigger pull but my friend's Rhino had a pretty good one.

I was too intent on hitting the plates to think about the amount of recoil or muzzle flip. Thinking back I don't feel it was any worse than my snubnose M15 with .38 Special reloads.

When my friend shot the Rhino and I shot the M15 on plates I got ahead of him and stayed there. But I shoot the M15 a lot and he hadn't had the Rhino too long.

I like the idea of the pistol but not the price. Could buy another .41 Magnum for the same money, eh?

I think those grip instructions are for semi-auto owners. Anybody who has owned a revolver knows to keep their hands back on the grips. Those "fingers-forward" styles would lead to short fingers with a .357 or .44.

I'm glad it shoots better than it looks, I had to use the emergency eye wash station here at work to get that image out of my eyes...
