I recently purchased a CS45. Love it. Got it for $300 used, bought it to make money, but carried it a couple days and loved it. Needless to say I hope to have it forever. I see there are a lot of people out there that have the 3rd gen bug, as I seem to have been bitten by it to.
I need advice.
My gun has wear, which I do not care, because it is a carry gun. My local gunsmith, said he could not refinish, and make look original, because of the type finish, and I would lose the name on the side. I want to know what you may have done to keep up your CS or other guns with similar gun finish.
Now where is a good place to get extra parts? Springs, rods, etc.
Also I need a good carry holster. I am finding it is hard to find a good holster that is made to fit the CS45. A lot of substitution in a holster made for another gun. I want a holster made for my gun. The reason I say this, is that I do not want a holster that is a inch to long, or too loose or too tight. I plan to keep this gun for a long time, and feel that it is worth the investment to make an already comfortable gun more comfortable.
Anything that you may have done to your CS would be nice to know as well.

As you can see the wear in the picture. Like I said, it is a carry gun, and who cares. I just want it to last me forever.

I have one just like that. I was thinking about redoing mine also. After I cleaned and oiled it up it looked pretty good. I kept the finish oiled for a week or two and I am going to keep it as it is. They are great guns.
