Chiefs Special 9mm

I'd agree, that's quite a bit for a CS9. Congrats to the seller on that auction.

I've never paid over $500 for any of my CS9's, and actually just picked one up for under $400 (there's plenty of LEO trade-in CS9's on the net right now).

Sorry, forum rules don't allow linking live auctions. I will say that the rash of used CS9's on Gunbroker are apparently LEO trade-ins with dim/dead Novak-style factory night sights. One seller in particular has been starting the auctions for these out at a very low price - $250 - and seems to have a number of them.

Why thanks 18DAI! You had to go present another convincing write up.. great job, I had to go buy one! As if I needed another gen3, are there any gen3 anonymous forums?! Now please tell me more about the TercGen grip, is it thinner and less sticky? How does one go about getting one?

VERY THIN! Not sticky, not too slick. Just right!

The TercGen grip is what the CS9 should have come with originally. With it, I think the CS9 would have been even more popular.

Using a TercGen grip and a flat, rounded 3913TSW baseplate on the mag, I can pocket carry the CS9.

NDFRC you are really going to like the CS9. And with a TercGen grip, you are going to LOVE the CS9! ;) Regards 18DAI

Has anyone changed their CS9 factory sights out? I would like to change the sights out on mine. Trijicon has been the only brand that I've came across. Looking to see what other options are out there, if any. Thanks

Mine are so close to dead that I can hardly see them. 18DAI mentioned relamping may be possible but I haven't had time to check.
 
Trijicon will relamp them for around $75. Contact them for availability and pricing. Regards 18DAI

Don’t forget about the ol’ Big Dot setup, which I think is ideal for little guns like the CS9. Mine came with Trijicon night sights, but I’d trade for these in a heartbeat

Thanks for the great review as always. Like Bam Bam I don't like them as much as the 3913NL or my 4513TSW 6 round. But if we all liked the same thing...
Now I have a couple CS 9s and 45s and I have to thank you for our contribution as I believe if I wanted to sell them (I don't) there value just increased!!:D

As to the preference for the 6-round 4513TSW, I agree with you. Strongly! But - if the CS45 winds up in an evidence locker, I really wont care. I would miss the 4513TSW.

Now the little CS9 is a different story. I really like this little gun. And you cant beat it when its hot out and you really dont want to carry a heavy full size gun, or cant dress around one. Fills a niche, for me. Best regards, 18DAI
 
My little CS9 just puts a smile on my face whenever I take it to the range. Never had so much fun trying to master the draw to DA to SA transition. Today I got a solid fist size group center mass at 21 ft. on a 3 shot draw. I want to practice every day honestly, to see just how well I can meld man and machine with this one. I can only get out to shoot about once per week tho. The CS9 pushes straight back into my palm with this custom grip. I can’t ask for a more perfect carry piece right now. Although I’ve got my eye out for a 4040pd now 🧐

Yup, she’s the only gun I brought today. She gets all my attention lately
