Just got some very sad news that my good friend and neighbor Chip McCormick passed away.
I’m really in shock by this...
Chip was such a good dude and a real innovator in the gun industry.
He invested so much cool stuff like the drop in trigger for AR’s, High capacity mags for the 1911 and tons of patents for things now made by Wilson Combat and Mossberg.
He was also an incredible shooter. Winning the US Steel Challenge World Championships in 1986.
He was also very pivotal in pushing me to do my own things with JJFU and keep pushing to make my guns function on a higher level.
I sure will miss his texts and his biweekly visits to my shop. Pretty funny he also taught me how to shoot a pistol left handed, which I didn’t think was possible.
Sad day.
I’m praying for his wife Kim.
He will sure be missed.
