CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"1 rolled up poster of the pre civil war plantation map along the Mississippi from Vicksburg to New Orleans"

If you decide to yard sale any off it, I would be in on the poster. My wife loves that area. We built a new house last year that was inspired by the Laura Plantation, on a much smaller scale of course.

Glad to know you are OK, Caj. It was a bad one and hard to believe it was worse than Katrina. Is the Bayou Teche really as beautiful as James Lee Burke writes ?

It is pretty down here and Burke captures it quite well. We fared well for the hurricane but alas Lake Charles, Cameron and Vermillion Parishes took it on the chin. While the surge was not as big as Rita, the storm itself caused as much if not more damage. Difference now is that there is no companion storm in New Orleans that deflects away from the carnage around Lake Charles as it sis 15 years ago.
