So I picked up a sweet rovolver from one of our fellow board members last week. Its a Model 10 modified by Clark Custom Guns for PPC. Shot it today for the first time. What a hoot! Set up a silhouette target @ 15 yds to check zero w/ my reloads. First 12 rds cut a single ragged hole 3" low of the X ring. Shot skeet competetively for a few years, but pistols have always been my passion. So, what can I shoot w/ this revolver? ICORE? Steel challenge? Seeking wisdom & knowledge.

PPC and ICORE, not sure about Steel Challenge it might be too heavy as that game is mostly time based. Ideally, it's too heavy for ICORE as well.

ICore & steel challenge. You'll probably be slow :-( with that long heavy barrel. But if you are in Coral Gables Florida you can shoot monitor lizards off docks waterside :-).

Lizzards sound a lot more fun than metal plates. Hehe..
Is PPC dead? I live in upstate SC & am having serious trouble finding any "local" shoots. Anybody know of something in the Charlotte NC area maybe?

PPC is usually only popular with police, and there is a police PPC National Championship annually. Check with your area police forces and see if anyone can tell you about competitions. It is great fun.

The NRA recently added a civilian division to PPC, it is ran through the Action Pistol division. If you have an active NRA Action Pistol competition in your area, check with them about the new PPC division. Some gun clubs run a non sanctioned PPC match that includes civilan competitors so if you have a local gun club that has matches, check with them to see what competitions they shoot.

Check the calendar for the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club, the have Action Pistol Matches, PPC matches (it is a slight variation of the NRA course of fire) and Combat Pistol Matches. As far as I know, you can shoot the matches even if you are not a member.

Their web page is CHARLOTTE RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB
