Ran across this clippping some months ago on fleanbay and put in my watch list. Was brrousing recently and enlarged the photo and realized the revolver was a 3.5" RM/NRM so I sent an offer. This was from a 1941 Popular Mechanics.

One second does not sound very fast. World record is .208 including reaction time. McGivern fired five shots accurately in 4/10s of a second. Guess that did not include a draw or reaction time.
On this deal sounds like the timer started when the G Man started his draw. So with reaction time would be over a second.
Would be a nice thing to add to your Registered Magnum paraphernalia.
