On late model M41 mags, is it possible to remove the bases for cleaning? I have two of these mags (where the base is NOT retained by the spring-loaded pin), and I would like to clean them (like I do the old style).
Fortunately, I was lucky enough to pick up a pair of new old stock m41 mags with the removable bases, but that has only reminded me that I haven't cleaned the new ones.
These get regular Bullseye usage, and occasionally the top round gets a drop of oil -- that drips down into the mag as well.
