Click/pop/crack sound when resetting trigger?

I just cleaned my sd9ve for the first time last night, along with installing an extended take down lever. After watching several videos & tutorials on how to break it down.

After reassembling the gun, the trigger seems to work fine, but upon racking the slide I hear a noticable pop/click/crack sound when the trigger resets. Almost like a plastic grinding kind of sound. It doesn't sound normal. Although the gun seems to be functioning correctly, when dry firing it. The trigger seems to break properly and it doesn't feel like there is any added tension when I pull the trigger

If I take the slide off, and inspect the trigger, I noticed the trigger bar looks & sounds like it is scrapping against the sear when it goes to recapture it.

Has anyone had a similar issue with this gun or any idea on how to fix it for that matter?

I don't have any experience with your problem, but I have some questions.
Did you notice this reset noise before installing the extended take down lever? Most pistols have an audible click when resetting. Although I don't see why installing an extended take down lever would cause your problem, have you tried reinstalling the stock take down lever to see if your problem continues? Sounds like something got messed up when you reassembled your pistol after the upgrade.

Did you install the take down lever the correct way? There is a right way, and a wrong way.
If you feel there's a problem contact S&W and they will send you a shipping label to send it to them, FREE of charge, both ways.
