What do you do with clunkers? I have a Mosin-Nagant and an Arisaka that a guy gave to me back in the 80s, when I bought a motorcycle from him. They were garage queens. I would call them hunks of steel, rust, and wood. I wouldn't dream of trying to shoot one of them. The Arisaka has something in the barrel, I guess I'll run a rod through it and see it it comes out. The Russky has a couple of screws missing. What do you guys think. I think I'd be kind of embarassed to drag them into a gun show, cause they are damned ugly. lol

Years ago I had a friend tell me of being in korea. He said a solider rose up to shoot him, he admitted he froze and thought he was dead. The rifle snapped and didnt fire. They killed the solider, took the rifle apart and it had a broken fireing pin!

If you know of a cowboy or outdoor bar in your area, donate them as wall decorators.
Heck, just because they're foreign bolt-actions doesn't mean they can't fill space on a bar wall.
Put a plastic cable tie around them so the bolt can't be lifted, before hanging.
You might be able to sell them, but if some idiot blows himself up with them he'll come right back to you with a host of lawyers.
If they're that bad, you may not want to sell them.
As for floor lamps, ewwwwwwwwwww! The only thing more gauche than that is making coat hooks out of deer feet!
You might also inquire if the local theatrical company could use them as props. Theaters will take just about anything.
Heck, "Ivan" and "Yoshi" could conceivably end up in a, "moving testament to the indomitability of the human spirit" play about the Civil War!
I once suffered through a college play, about the Civil War, and I had to laugh at what the "soldiers" carried: Marlin 336, Winchester 94, Stevens single-shot .410, what looked to be a bolt-action .22s and so on.
No wonder the North won! We had cartridge guns!

One thing I will say about the Arisaka, see if you can see the serial number, and does it still have the Royal Chrysanthemum on it?

The only way that these rifles got into the country was by WW2 GI's trophys of war.

There is quite a following for either of those rifles. Many milsurp collectors out there, including me. I'm sure you can post them for sale on one of the milsurp forums.

I would clean them up. I got an old Moisen Nagant once in a trade. It was pretty rough. I had some free time one afternoon and after giving it a thorough cleaning it turned into a pretty good shooter. I actually made a few bucks on it when I traded it. I enjoyed the project.
