I just called my wife and told her to wake up and call our niece and nephew in Aurora. I said to my wife that probably everything is OK, at least they will know they are always in our thoughts. I worked in a movie theater, we had armed guards just to slow down the armed robberies.

I certainly do hope they are alright!!!!Makes one wonder if you had a means to defend yourself and others and you did,would they press charges against you for violating their no firearms regulations?

Colorado being the gun-friendly state that it is, one can't help but wonder if anyone in the theater itself or building had a concealed handgun.

Cops were on duty on the property, right? When seconds count, help is minutes away...

There are 24 James Holmes' living in Aurora, CO.

Fox News reported the shooter JH had no registered firearms. He had no CWP and is not a Military veteran (thank goodness).

There was a blog (link above) by a private detective that (to me) looks like speculation. I did not see proof or references to proof.

I also doubt he is a Tea Party member as was reported by ABC news, there are too many James Holmes in Aurora to justify a conclusion like that.

This fellow thought this through pretty completely. Had there been an armed civilian in the theater he (or she) would have had to fire at an armed intruder (Rifle, shotgun, and two handguns) wearing body armor in a dark theater with tear gas in the air. That would have been a nightmare.
