What makes people flip out like that? This wasnt even a crime for any money gain and go`s totaly against his medical intrest. Wonder what the point in booby trapping his apartment was? Probley trying to raise the BC? Wearing a vest it looks like he didnt have a personnal death wish. Maybe it was to be able to raise the BC higher before being stopped. Cant say it was a poor, hatefull family as they obvisley sent him to med school. Got ahold of some bad dust?

It seems to me that some of us need to think about why some people want to regulate or ban guns. In my opinion, the reason is that they fear us. Fear is powerful motivator and until we get a handle on it and educate ourselves and others, we will always be under attack every time a vile act occurs. Some of us have made snide and uncaring comments, that does not help either. Also, some are heavy handed in their response to opposition views. Think about it.

I cant vouch for any of this, but if true I suppose the news will be all over it. On another note, has the world stopped? I havent seen a bit of other news all morning!

The shooter had the best of guns and equipment. That alone had to cost a significant amount of money. You would think a lot more than what any struggeling student could afford. A AR-15, remington 870, two glock .40 calibers. Helmit, vests, shin and throat protectors etc. "Buckets" of ammo in his apartment etc. It`s another interesting aspect of the act. Now they say 71 people were hit with 12 of them dead. My daughter and family live near there too.

It is the danger of google. Reporters do it all the time when these type stories fly. Everyone trying to get ahead of the story, to take what little information they have and fill it out.

Just look at the story here in LexVegas of the guy, last week who escaped prior to his rape conviction and is still on the run. The amount of information on him that had to be corrected was almost funny...but folks wanted to know who this guy was that was so bad that they put cops and prosecutors in protective custody.

Yet society is shocked that these things are happening. Isn't is amazing that people can't figure out why this almost never happened back in the days of self respect and decency (prior to the 1960s), even though gun laws were much less prevalent.

You nailed it. Now reported on Fox that he had previously opened the door so he could get in. Well played sir.

At the cinema, he entered through a fire door he'd previously left open and then set off some sort of explosive before opening fire with multiple guns, including an AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and at least one .40-caliber Glock handgun.

That's the most detail I've seen gun-wise thus far.

I'll guarantee they knew this wasn;t "fact" and just threw it out there knowing they may have to retract. Once they say the words much of the damage is done. They may be liars, but they aren't stupid.
