I was watching an episode of Batman where Cliff Robertson played "Shame", a cowboy outlaw. He goes into a gun shop, asks to look at a revolver on the wall and promptly loads it and hold-ups the shop.

The revolver looked like a 5 1/2" Colt New Service with fake stag grips. It was probably a .45 Colt, in order to use the 5-in-one blanks.

I love seeing the Hollywood selection of small arms from back in the day. Barney Fife carried a Colt Officers Model or Official Police (unsure of exact model?) and the rack of guns at their office had SxSs, Winchester 92/94s and even a Jap Arisaka IIRC.

Enjoyable, yes, as long as the weapons are feasible. I do not like New Services substituted for SAAs when distant rapid-fire sequences are called for. Or the '94 Winchester in an earlier time frame altho I understand why. The Arisaka mentioned above could have been a rifle turned in by a resident so I'll allow it.;)
