Another ?,the bluing I`ll say is 99 %,but the grip safety don`t look like it have ever been blued.
Should it be blued?
Thanks Dick

I'd think the grip safety sould be blued like the rest of the gun. I have two 1903 .32 acp's and both have blued grip safety's they both were made in 1919.

The very early models had color case hardened grip safties
& triggers IIRC. Art

This is true and the thumb safety was also case hardened. The one I have that was manufactured in 1922 has colors from case hardening on the trigger, thumb and grip safety's but you have to look closely at the grip safety to see any remaining colors.
Personally, I love shooting the one I have. Heavy for it's size and good accuracy at around 21 feet. I have been shooting CCI blazer ammunition 50 grain FMJ and it loves them.
Peace,
gordon

I really wanted a Colt Vest Pocket, but prices on a good example
are pretty steep. I ended up with a non-working Colt, Astra Firecats,
and a 1905 Browning.
All of these, if you can see the sights, are pretty accurate
at 25 yards. Surprised the heck out of me. Wish I had a Colt
though. TACC1

Okay old man, where's the pics? ;):)
f.t.

It don`t look like in the picture but the blueing is 99%+& there is a little case color
showing on the grip safety .the little Colt is 97 years old.

What a great looking gun!

That is a very good example of "They don't make 'em like they used to".

Sad to say. Art
