This is a small batch bourbon I found at Wally world the other day. $20.00 1/5th. not bad, not bad at all.
I mean hey, we havent had a bourbon thread in a while.

Hm. Interesting. The producer is Florida Caribbean Distillers, whose entire remaining portfolio is rum. But since this is labeled "Kentucky Straight Bourbon", the juice in the bottle has to be legally sourced from a Kentucky distillery. MGP is out. See the recent thread on sourced whiskey. The most likely suspect is always Heaven Hill. The "small batch" designation is meaningless, but I'm sure it's good bourbon.
I didnt read the small print. Says it is distilled in Bourbon Co. KY...with a name like that it has to be good
.....
Small batch is something like a small number of barrels are selected from different years that meet the master distiller standards or a flavor profile.
You sure it says Bourbon COUNTY and not Country? If the former, I'm pretty sure they'd be lying, which could get them in trouble with the Feds
There were no distilleries in Bourbon County, KY, since 1919 until Hartfield and Co. opened their craft distillery in Paris in 2014, to my knowledge the only one (a popular whiskey trivia question, which is how I happen to know this). They are nowhere near big enough to be capable of supplying Wallymart with cheap bulk bourbon.
