My dealer has a "pre 15", five screw combat masterpiece on the rack. It has Pachmeyer grips on it, but otherwise is in excellent shape. I need this gun like Custer needed more indians, but it just stays up there mocking me, as if daring me to take it home. I keep hoping someone else will buy it, but it hasn't happened yet.

Give me an idea what you think it would be worth, so I'll have a good reason to not put it on layaway. I already have a 15-3, but that's not a five screw.

I bought a five screw CM with Pachmeyer grips about 18 months ago I'd guess. I paid $250. It was a security guard gun and had healthy holster wear at the muzzle an on the cylinder, but is mechanically in wonderful shape. I'll post some photos when I can so you have an idea of the finish.

If there is no significant wear on it - and nothing sinister under those rubber grips, I would say about $400 ($350 to $450 depending on where you are).

I'd buy it if the price was right and put a set of vintage grips on it. I understand the redundancy of it all since I have a -4 already. But dang, it's a 5 screw.

cajun, back when i sold cars, the dealership was located between the funeral home and the cemetary. i've told a lot of folks i've never seen a wells fargo truck following the hearse. lee

Local shop to me had a late model 15 with the UM's on it for $450. It's been setting for a long while now. Not even I'm sucker enough for that price. If it was the same model as yours then I would at least think about it before I remember that I'm broke right now.

Somehow it doesn't look like it took too much pressure/feedback
to firm up your decision. Can we see pics when it follows you home?

I was just wondering if their price was way out of line. They're asking $550.00. I know from experience I can get it for less. That doesn't seem too far off what y'all are saying, and best as I can remember, the goodyears are the only fault. I don't even recall any blue wear.

I'm going to try to run down tomorrow. If we agree on a price, I'll try to remember to take a couple of pictures with my cell phone. It'll have to go to layaway purgatory for a while though.

Here are a couple of pics of mine (this is the worse of the two sides). I swapped out the rubber grips for a set of high horned diamond magnas and just put a BK grip adapter on it.

Found this CM 5 screw (top) at our local Gunshow on a pawnshop table wearing later style targets.
Very low round count slight smudge in the blueing at the muzzle that cleaned up very well.
I Paid $350 cash and thought I did pretty good considering the target grips it had on it were worth about $50,
Then again I had a set of Magnas to put on it already.

Dont forget correct period Magna grips will cost another $70 and never number to the gun.
Diamond targets are not usually numbered but maybe $100 to $150.

Unless you already have correct grips I would offer a firm $350 but not exceed $400..thats me
