Very nice, rwadley1, those turned out nice. Personally though, I prefer a low-gloss finish, but that's just me. Enjoy!

A few passes with 60 grit should knock it down a bit...

I like and use a lot of Tried & True linseed oil. It gives the wood a nice low sheen natural finish.

I applied five coats of tung oil with a steel wool buff in between. I still might hit them again with steel wool to knock some of the shine down once I'm sure they are fully cured.

That's what I would do if they were mine.
