Computer Help: "logfile"

I am trying to find a bug in my system which is really "bugging" me. I need to analyze my register through "Highjack this", and need a "logfile" to make it happen. I used to know this, but have not done it in several years. Can some one here please tell me how do I pull a logfile so I can post it and get an analysis? Thanks.

It's somewhere on the menus in HijackThis.

It sounds like you have an older version. The newer versions offer a logfile as one of the choices whenever you run it. Download the latest version and install it. It should ask you every time you run it. You should be able to find it on downloads.com.
