Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act

Sure, if you watch the main stream media you would think that. In reality, there actually are a good number of Teddy like Republicans with regards to firearms. They just don't get any air time with the socialist media.

I don't watch MSM at all.

I would doubt there's more than a dozen Congress critters who know how to field strip a gun & clean it. That's including both Houses, BTW.

I disagree there's a "number" of Teddy-like Republicans. Oh, they may do the proper talk. But I'd say only 3-4 of them are truly pro-gun & none of them are Senators, IMO. JD Vance was the only exception but he's obviously no longer in the Senate. The rest are Tim Walz-copies, IMO.

SCOTUS needs to affirm that public places are where the public needs to be able to protect itself. Public transportation, public parks, etc. These should not be considered sensitive areas.

There is a thing called the Supremacy Clause where Federal Law trumps state law. A state does not have the right to violate the Constitution. The 10th Amendment states that anything not particularly specified in the Constitution falls under the jurisdiction of the states. However, the second amendment, delineates the RIGHT of the PEOPLE to KEEP and BEAR ARMS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. This specific delineated RIGHT trumps any state law. 🇺🇸👮🏻‍♂️👍🏻
Great sentiment.. While I am all for the 2nd I am also a REALIST.

BUT THE FACT REMAINS their are restrictions and the Supreme Court has repeatedly let many of them stand

Open carry a Glock with 18 rounds of hollow point ammo in New Jersey and let us know how that legal opinion works out for you. I doubt you will be able to access the forum from behind bars though. The Supreme court will never even hear your name and bringing up the SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED part of 2nd in a New Jersey court won't do you any good whatsoever.

Unfortunately that isn't the interpretation of 2A today by the courts. Actually never has been as far as I know. Everyone in every state is infringed in one way or another regarding 2A, if by no other legal authority than GCA and NFA. Then you get to the state laws and really get infringed.

I'm not saying it's right, but that's what we deal with.

Dealing with this right now where I live. New state law for dealers goes into effect June 1st. My dealer has now been forced out of business.

Well, since politics is banned on this forum and we've already likely crossed the line I'll just reframe from further comment.

What does socialism have to do with it? Socialist keep their guns to keep the top from overstepping/existing, keeping unionized people stronger.

Maybe you are thinking about an oligarchy like we are seeing in the USA. The rich capitalist are a minority that benefit from the common human resource being ignorant, complacent, disarmed.

Our constitution is more likely to be saved/enforced by democratic socialism than an oligarchy.
