Considering buying this 39-2...

I'll have to look into the sights. I have three 39-2's - all with adjustable rear sights. Hmm.
I went to see it again today and to me, the rear sights looked aftermarket. See on the pic - they are much skinnier than the factory ones I saw online. I decided to pass - not original box to the gun, not original second magazine, not original adjustible sights...too many small things not being right...

That 539 has an interesting plating - initially I thought it may be SS (the matte finish on the frame) but then when I looked it up it is nickel plated. I have a 459 in nickel that looks more like your 39-2 there...Do you find those differences as well?

As to the 06 series - yes, they are tanks indeed. I have an LE trade in 4006 TSW, and this thing was built for a heavy duty use - frame, slide, rail are all wide and bulky - no metal spared there! :-)

Thanks for the feedback on the pricing!
Yea when I bought it the seller had it as Stainless. I told him they came in blue and nickel. Don't really care what it is, it's a 539! My 39 has adjustable sights but they are adjustable for windage only, the lollipop sight. I do have a full parts kit for a 4506-1 less frame.
I bought it because it has a fully adjustable rear sight like the 539. I was going to swap slides on my 4506 but they are different. It anyone needs parts!

All the factory rear sights on M39-2's are adjustable for windage only. The rear sight on the OP's picture are most likely after market and are easily swapped out.
