Contact your legislators - Smith & Wesson made it easy!

done. . . has anyone seen what the California legislature is considering? They are already one of the least friendly states for gun owners. Now they are considering legislation to require registration to purchase ammo, as well as the same issues before Congress.

If the NICS system cannot handle the volume it has now, how would it ever handle a check for every ammunition purchase?

I've contacted my legislators through Ruger and on my own I will probably do it through the Smith page too. Yiogo

Talk about violent crime, or general murder rates. Most don't realize that England had a violent crime rate about 4X the U.S.. I am from Minnesota. Our murder rate, even with guns, is less than Canada's, and just a bit higher than Englands. Also most don't realize there is actual scientific research about the effectiveness of gun control laws. These are just a few I have come across when you add the word "research" to a google search.

An Analysis of the influence of Population density

"By and large, the available evidence increasingly tends to suggest that most types of crime tend to increase in levels of occurrence with increasing population density. This relationship, however, is moderated by SES. A cluster of affluent high-rise apartments in Mumbai or New York may have high density, but will also have a high level of guardianship, thus inhibiting crime. On the other hand, a high density poverty area will incorporate in its lifestyle incentives for predatory behaviours and disincentives for guardianship, given the hazards associated with confronting criminals (on their turf) or witnessing criminal acts.+

Give them hell. Don't let them set the rules.

I sent it a few days ago. Got several replies explaining their positions, only one so far is supporting the ban out of the group mine went to and that's Senator Bob Casey.

My congressman actually replied to my letter. He is in complete agreement on the 2nd amendment. Thank you!!

I sent one from the Ruger web site earlier and the S&W web site tonight.

I have received replies from several of my Legislators, but they were of a generic type that really did not look promising.

If you have not sent your letters and you want to maintain your 2nd Amendment rights as the presently stand... I strongly suggest you mail or call you local Legislators and let them know how you feel before it is too late!

After that State of the Union address. We need to speak up. Just done this one. Already did Ruger last week.

done. I got several Google errors at 1st but persisted and it finally worked. IT took me to the Smith & WEsso Official site. It was very easy after that. I agree with Moonman about the phone #. Shouldn't need to give it if you email adress is legit.

Sent (again). Some of the "representatives" are certainly unresponsive.
