Does anyone know if you can convert the long 10rd mags to hold more? Any insight would be appreciated!

yes

search the forums, there are topics with visuals on it. you essentially have to remove floor plate and spring and remove a pin that is in there.

Are you in a state that allows you to own a larger capacity Mag? I only ask because you have a 10 rounder and I didn't see a location in the upper right corner of your info. !

Who cares the reason? It's on him to know his situation.

If it were me, and I had pinned 10 rounders, I would also remove the pin and instead, get some mag blocks and block them that way as then, if you go to a free state you can remove the blocks and shoot 25 rounders. In my case, I live in a 10rnd state and I only have unpinned 25 round mags. I wanted FDE (only 25 round) and I wanted loading buttons (only 25 round) and I wanted 25 round "ability" for when I travel. So, I bought only 25 rounders and blocked them to 10 in my state and then when I go shoot in CO, I can unblock.

Some people on here are new to shooting, some ask questions because they don't know or haven't asked their local gun shop if removing the piin is legal or not. there have been questions here as recent as last week of someone asking how to make his firearm full auto, so he obviously didn't know what he wanted to do could put him in prison! The other issue is that you modified your magazines, to take 25 rounds but your state law may require the modification of the magazine to be permanent, yours with the block are not permanent if you can remove the block at your choosing! Just like collapsible stocks in New Yor State must be permanently pinned in one position! Personally I don't care what anyone does especially, people like you who have to come on and act like a jerk because someone asked a simple question to possibly keep someone, if caught from getting caught up in a legal battle over a simple modification!

Slow your roll dude.. no one was a jerk and if anything, I gave him a great idea to do it legal AND get magazines he could use out of his state later if he wanted. But you blew that off, so chill. It's amazing how up tight some people are around here. AND, what I said is true... in the end, it is on him to know for sure and feel comfortable with what he does.

Now.. you need to do some research on "permanent" as nothing is "permanent". Nothing... pins, epoxy, rivets, nothing. So, often, "permanent" simply means you need to use a "tool" to undo the mod. So, in this case, you need a "tool" to remove the floor plate so the argument can and has been made that in fact is "permanent" once the floor plate is put into place.

Think about this, your own logic is undone by the way the mag legally came from the factory.. his mag came "permanently" limited with a pin. A pin you can take out with a tool - in seconds. So much for "permanent" huh?

So in my example, legally take them apart into kits. Remove the pin. Get legal 10 round blocks. Put back into working order. Floor plate now is in place and a tool is needed to remove the floor plate.
