Cop walks after brutal attack

If that had been one of my daughters... Suffice to say that he would not be on trial. What was the name of the Patrick Swayze movie where his family took on the schitcago mob after his brother was murdered? Something like that would be in this AH's future. No disrespect for LEO as many, many of my friends are LEO. This POS need to be removed from the planet, let alone be allowed to stay in LE.

Hey guys lets not forget that one of the other men seen in this vidio (standing to the left) was another Chicago police officer! While this dirt bag was beating the bartender this other LEO stood by and watched his drinking buddy commit this crime and did nothing except sip his beer.

I say get rid of the both of them! So much for being sworn to uphold the laws 27/7.

Chicago's finest doing what they do best.
 
I haven't seen the video, but the two words that really get to me are, cop and female. Whether he was a cop or not, I'm a firm believer in men not beating on women. But being an off duty cop makes it even worse. Makes you wonder how many domestic violence calls this pos turned his back on. I hope he finds himself with a huge judgement against him in civil court!
 
What's only comming to light now is video of this slob beating up on another patron earlier in the evening. This joint is a cop bar. I hope this girl has some Russian brothers.

From today's Chicago Tribune:
The (Chicago Police) department is seeking to have Abbate fired, and the Independent Police Review Authority has recommended his dismissal, (Superintendent Jody) Weis said. The case is up before the Police Board on July 7.
 
Like others have said. It's Chicago and they protect their own. You can D#$& well bet that if it was someone beating up the cop they would be charged with everything that they could think of or make up (assuming they weren't just killed).
 
OKAY, I'm on dial-up and it only runs at about 26.4 so I don't have time to look for or view the video.

Several qustions come to mind though............

How did the get to her? Snatacher her 125#s over the bar, did he crawl over the bar or go around the end to get to her?

Were he and she alone in the bar....wioth no other male "drunks" there to stop or belay this whuppin?

How long did he actually beat her while others watched>

If I recall, he went around the bar when she refused to continue to serve him. He threw her to the ground, punched and kicked her, while another guy stood by. I now have learned the other guy was also an off duty LEO.

In my humble opinion the fact that he is LEO does not alter the fact that a drunk MAN beat up on a woman half his size. He is a slug who should be neutered and then locked away.

my thought is we can kill two birds with one stone, first buy up all the bulk pack of shotgun shells at walmart, then hunt down Chomos and woman beaters and play doctor with their intestines, sound brutal? yes it is and so is what they do to their vitims
 
The gentleman in the foreground taking in the show is a LEO. They are supposed to be on duty 7X24. In my opinion they shoulda threatened the onlooker with failure to act prosecution, so he'd in turn, roll on that fat slob.
 
No excuses for this AH. But there a few mitigating factors involved:
1. The bartender had no-I repeat no injuries. Not for lack of trying obviously. The AH was simply too drunk to do much damage.
2. In order to get the cop convicted of a felony (because there were no injuries) the prosecutors had to reach for a little known statute that provides that any person in a public place that committs battery is also guilty of a felony.
3. This is the first time in the 32 years that that statute has been on the books that is has been used against anyone.
4. If this had been a non cop there would have been no question but that this would have been a non felony charge.
5. The AH has been suspended w/o pay, and the only reason he was not fired sooner is that the department was waiting for the conviction which makes firing him a no brainer and an extremely easy procedure, no necessity to prove anything except the conviction and he is gone.
6. He will lose his pension, and will be decertified as an LEO by the state board so he can never be a cop again-anywhere. The only thing he will get is his money that he paid into the pension fund in a lump sum at 1.5% simple interest.
Most of the above comments about Cook County justice were spot on. Basically the Cook County system sucks big time. And of course it is run by Mayor Little Boss(his father was Mayor Big Boss).
In Chicago and Cook County the only way you get a city/county/state contract is to be:
1. A member of the Daley family
2. A member of a minority group
3. A member of organized crime
The lines between #1 and #3 are somewhat blurred.
