I believe that load was +p+. It measured 1050 fps from a 3" model 65. I don't know about these days, but in the past Corbon ammo would usually chrono at the advertised velocity. 38 +P 110 gr JHP advertised at 1300 fps, and did so from same 3" 65. Winchester +P+ 110 JHP made 1050 fps from same gun. Dean
I have a 20 round box from at least 20 years ago in the cases are definately stamped "+P+".
We used Remington bullets back when we loaded the 38 with the 158 gr LHP. The reason we stopped production was that the swagged bullets were so soft, we ended up with many rejects due to damage of the bullet nose when loading.
I'd like to see a photo of the 20 rd box that states that it is a +P+ loading also. We didn't sell in 20 rd boxes 20 years ago.
Best regards,

it would be great if you could post some photos of the box and the ctgs. as well, please.
I wonder whose cast bullet they used back then. They use Cast Performance bullets today in their Hunting line of ctgs.

20 roundersAren't those boxes 50 rounder's?
Hi Guys,
Here's a picture of a box. Still haven't tried them.

Just to stir the pot, I have a box of this ammo I bought in 1998 or 1999 and it is definitely NOT loaded with a Remington LSWCHP bullet. Maybe that's what they intended to sue, but its not what went out the door when my ammo was produced.
Here's another picture with the manufacture date. Over 18 years old? Time sure flies! Ballistic charts show the round at 351 ft-lb
How do you tell Remington LSWCHP from Winchester from Speer when it's in loaded ammunition?
How did that carrier pictured fit in that box? It looks wider in the picture.
team corbon,
I too have a twenty round box of the +P+ 158GR LHP. The flap has #1031 and is dated MAY 23 1994. The stick on band that lists the cartridge info and wraps abound to the inside has: 14

21 hand written on it. Love your ammo and hope there is some way to load this ammo again. My favorite load in K frame S&W guns. Thanks, Dean
