Correct stocks for 4” 29-2

I believe those Presentation stovcks on the OP's 29 to be correct with gold medallions. Below are pics of my 29-2 (1980), 27-2 (1976), and 28-2 (1974) and all have gold medallions. All are wearing the factory stocks as they left S & W factory way back when.

If the stocks are factory there will be silver or black washers in the back. The only stocks I know of from this time period with gold washers came on rosewood. And even then most had been varnished over to appear gold by the factory. This is why so many of these stocks look like the gold is starting to come off showing silver beneath.
