Hello all. Something about these HP's makes me want to finish out the chase for, lets say a 5 screw, maybe a nnm 4 screw. I'm sure there is not a -1 showing up anytime soon, so that's out. A dash 3? Yes, its still a 28 and not made very long compared to the -2 but, no P&R
- Up top we have a 28-2 S prefix (look familiar Tom)
- Below we have a 28 no dash
I have an N112 sitting in a shop now waiting for me to take home, but I can't yet. I have been doing some legal transfers from my father due to his health. This takes a bit of time because we can only do 3 handgun transfers a month in CT. Maybe mid May I can get it. Till then the hunt is on.

An "as new" Model 28-2.

And another Model 28-2 I refer to as my "barn gun" because the previous owner apparently stored this one in his barn. :)

Nice.
I had a 1954 (birth year gun for me) 4" M-28 that I gave to a close friend that always wanted one. He retired as a Sargent in Vice from the SLC PD.

This 6" M-28-2 is the only one I have.
My brother gave it to me so its a keeper for sure.

Ha Ya, I’ll keep that in mind Mike, If one is ever in question. There’s probably a better chance hitting the power ball. Hopefully can get the HP. Then on to some shiny stuff.

Is it okay if I say “BOO” to the bold part?
Larry

No Larry lol ? Not sure what you mean about “bold part”? Just trying to complete what I have decided to collect for now. I’m kinda new at this and I am still learning about the different variations of each model. I found the no dash awhile ago and learned a little bit about it. After learning more about the 28 on this forum ,I decided I would like to try and find these other variants. No harm no foul. Don

DEF3, I was talking about you only being able to only transfer 3 guns a month in CT! That stinks!

Shiniest 28's I have ever seen! Look good! Bob

Thanks Bob, I think it’s due to the light bulbs my wife uses. She has these antique style bulbs that throw a kinda yellowish hue. Makes the pics look a little brassy.

I've put more .357 Mag rounds (the only round I've ever put thru it) than all the rounds combined true all my other guns.

I love the Highway Patrol revolvers. I have a 6" 5 screw Highway Patrolman, a 6" 4 screw marked Highway Patrolman, a 6" 4 screw model 28 no dash, a 6" 3 screw model 28-2, and a 6" 3 screw model 28-3. I have only one 4" 5 screw Highway Patrolman, and one 4" 4 screw model 28 no dash, and about five 4" model 28-2's.

Assistance with rare 28?

It looks as though i have finally found the right forum as you all have knowledge that superceeds mine. My collection has grown to the point i must insure the lot. Need help with valuation or need worthy firearm appraiser near the gulf coast. U have a K frame, model 28, "S" series, Bill Jordan engraved signature .357 Highway Patrolman. I have the prominance and origon and i MUST stress that it is not now or ever will be for sale as it can not be replaced. Im not a big wheel cock fan, but this is one of a handful i have in my collection. It is 100% original condition and has been fired 4 times to the best of my knowledge. Can any of you masters help?

Dang, if my count is correct, that’s an even dozen! We need a family portrait.:D
